I’m writing this review to share my experience of undergoing a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) performed by Dr. Adil Shafi. For over a year, I had been suffering from symptomatic gallstones, but eventually I decided to proceed with the surgery to get rid of the recurring pain, which worsened during travel and significantly disrupted my life. I first went for a check-up with Dr. Adil and shared my situation with him. After reviewing my lab reports, he explained in detail what was going on with my health and clearly outlined the solution, which was cholecystectomy. He patiently clarified all my doubts regarding the procedure and then prescribed a list of important lab tests required before surgery. After reviewing my test reports, he confirmed that I was fit to proceed with the surgery. During the procedure, my appendix was found to be abnormal, for which he took consent from my guardian. Due to Dr. Adil Shafi’s professional, ethical, and timely intervention, I was saved from potential future appendix-related issues, and my appendectomy (appendix removal) was performed during the same procedure. I stayed for 24 hours at General Practice Hospital, and all staff members were very respectful, caring, and supportive. I did not know Dr. Adil Shafi personally before this and found him through the internet. I decided to proceed with the cholecystectomy under his care with two assumptions: 1. His professional competence. 2. The sense of empathy and good-heartedness I felt in him. After going through this procedure, I can confidently say that both of my assumptions were not only proven true but exceeded my expectations. - Professionally, he is an excellent surgeon, and my surgery went very smoothly. - As a human being, he is cooperative, kind-hearted, and friendly, with genuine empathy for his patients.
